Authors receive no remuneration for their articles but do gain exposure to a wide audience - copyright rests with the author on the understanding that their article/s can be freely distributed in entirety provided full acknowledgment of the author and original source is give. The intention here is to allow education institutions such as universities to reproduce material for inclusion in student reading material without having the hassle of worrying about filling-in copyright forms etc. It's all about good faith!
