Article Submission Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in being an author with
GlobalEducator!
Writing an article for GlobalEducator is a great way to build your
network of professional colleagues while sharing your expertise
with an audience of 7,000 in over 80 countries.
We look to publish articles that are relevant, well-written, easy
to read, interesting, informative and topical. To this end, we are
proactive in seeking authors and topics that our subscribers will
find of interest. In particular we are interested in the two general
themes of:
1. World-wide issues such as AIDS/HIV research; and
2. The process of teaching globally via the Internet.
We Prefer
• Innovative/pioneering material;
• Action research – what has been achieved, how it has
been implemented, future plans;
• Works in progress and the possibility of future contributions
to update subscribers on your progress;
• Success is great but it's just as relevant to publish failures
(misadventures!) so others can learn from what you've done and build
on your experiences.
Format
• A maximum article length of 2000 words maximum consisting
of a 200 word summary, a 100 word author biography (and portrait
photograph) and an article of 1700 words. As Shakespeare said, “Brevity
is the source of wit";
• See www.globaled.com/articles/PaulQuinnett2004.pdf
as a good article example;
• APA style is preferred – see www.apa.org/journals/authors/guide.html.
Your article summary will be included in the monthly email to subscribers.
A well-written and engaging summary will tempt subscribers to read
your full article. Of course, if you’re already really famous,
they’ll read you anyway!
Your full article will be published on the website and you may
also be published in a hardcopy/digital annual compendium to which
you assign copyright to GlobalEducator. Aside from this, copyright
remains with you as the author and you are free to republish provided
acknowledgement is given of GlobalEducator being the original source.
To submit an article
• In the first instance, email your article in Word or text
format to editor@globaled.com;
• If you are concerned about whether your topic is appropriate,
you may wish to submit an abstract and author bio in the first instance.
We can then advise you if the topic is one that our reviewers are
keen to receive. If you have any questions, please feel free to
contact the editor, Graeme Hart, via email.
