GlobalEducator aims to provide a free and easily accessible central location for Articles, Authors, Events, Communities and Resources for the growing community of Global Educators that is free to access and easy to use.

The monthly newsletter has summaries of new listings to the site such as featured authors, notes from the editor and information on new events.
 
About GlobalEducator

GlobalEducator.com is building the world's largest listings of reviewed resources for Global Education professionals. Since commencing in April 2003, we have progressively added articles from a range of authors around the world - this has been so well-received that there have been over 200,000 downloads of articles!

GlobalEducator is currently undergoing a review of both this website and an extension of our editorial and review panels. Out new site will be launched later in 2005.

The GlobalEducator vision is to create a community of practice for Global Education professionals. We want to make a place where like-minded people can go to not only share stories (which we're doing with articles) but also to help and network with each-other. We are in the early days of creating a network of Global Educators and hope you will be part of it. Please do have a look in the Author Area and register your interest in contributing your expertise.


The GlobalEducator Editorial Board
 
Our editorial board source content for publication in GlobalEducator and are responsible for editing articles from their region of the world.

They are also on the review panel to determine that articles meet required standards. If you are looking to have an article published, these are the people you should approach. They will arrange to have your article blind peer reviewed by the review panel (see below). To submit an article, please read the Artcile Submission Guidelines in the Author Area.
 
Graeme Hart, Australia
Graeme commenced his professional life as an Engineer before embarking on his educational career as a Mathematics & Science Teacher then moving to the higher education sector as an academic at the University of Melbourne in Australia. He was the first person at the University to convert an entire undergraduate subject (Management Statistics) to web delivery in 1996 and was instrumental in a number of Virtual Education conferences helping lead the way to mainstream the digital revolution. He also published and presented in his research area of online learning styles which led him to form the Online-Ed mailing list in the late 90's. Graeme has always been known as an innovator in education and renowned for his entrepreneurial spirit. He is on the Council of the Australian Organisation for Quality and is a member of the Australian Society for Education Technology and The Royal Society of Victoria, the oldest Science Association in Australia
 
Anita Pincas, UK
Anita Pincas is Senior Lecturer in Education at the University of London; Visiting Fellow at the University of Westminster and Director of Pedagogy for the Virtual Learning Development Trust based in the UK. She has been a specialist in pedagogy at the University of London for 30 years with a focus in online learning and English language teaching and is one of the earliest users of the Internet for educational purposes with wide-ranging experience in the use of computer conferencing software. After graduating from the world's first online course in methods of teaching online, the Certificate in Online and Distance Learning from the Southampton Institute, she started the London University Certificate in Online Education and Training in 1992 and the world's first online MA TESOL in 1993 for the University of London. She is the founding director of ELAS, the Education Law Society and a member of the Royal Institution, London.
 
Glyn Rimmington, USA
Glyn Rimmington is the Boeing Distinguished Professor of Global learning at Wichita State University in Kansas. He is leading a program to integrate Global Learning into all areas of the curriculum. Before taking up this appointment, he was a senior member of faculty at the University of Melbourne in Australia. A central theme of his research has been systems modelling and he also applied this to many topics including education. Glyn's courses were among the first to take advantage of the Web and incorporate student web publishing. In 1996 he began incorporating global learning into his courses and graduate seminars with audiographics and video conferencing.

Helen Carter, Australia
Helen is immediate past-President of the Australasian Society for Computers in Learning in Tertiary Education and is Head of the Centre for Educational Development and Interactive Resources at the University of Wollongong, Australia. Helen's research interest has primarily revolved around educational design and she has recently completed a second masters in educational leadership focusing on the management and governance issues surrounding the organisation of e-learning and e-teaching in the higher education sector. She is concerned with demonstrating educational effectiveness and consciously promotes conversation in higher education concerning useful strategies and techniques in making good educational materials.
